PensionCheck.ie collects personal and contact information solely for the purpose of facilitating a referral to a qualified pension broker.

When you submit your information through our website seeking pension advice, you provide explicit consent for us to share this information with a pension broker so they can contact you to offer their services. This is the only purpose for which we collect this data.

We do not collect any personal information beyond what is necessary to connect you with a pension broker based on your request.

Types of Data We Collect

Pension quote request data: If you request pension quotes through our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you provide about your pension situation (e.g. current provider, retirement age) and request.

Types of Data We DON'T Collect

Pension comparison data: If you choose to use our pension comparison tool, any data you enter is processed entirely within your web browser. No pension data is ever sent to or received by PensionCheck.ie. The comparison calculation happens on your device, and the results are displayed to you and only you. This means PensionCheck.ie never sees, stores, or processes your pension details or any other personal financial information.

How We Use Your Data

Pension quote requests: When you request a pension quote, we forward your request details to a Central Bank authorised pension broker operating in Ireland. We are paid by the broker on a per-request basis.

We do not use your data for marketing emails, and we do not share your information with any party other than the pension broker you have requested we contact.

Data Retention

Pension comparison data: As noted above, any data entered in the comparison tool is processed locally in your browser and is never transmitted to or stored by PensionCheck.ie.

Pension quote requests: We retain quote request data for 6 months from the date of submission. After this period, all personal data is securely deleted.

Your Data Protection Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law, you have the following rights:

• Right to access: You can ask us what personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct any inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to object: You can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Right to data portability: You can ask for your data in a machine-readable format.

International Data Transfers

As the Data Controller is located in the Republic of Georgia, your personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA). This transfer is necessary to perform the service you requested (providing pension quotes). We rely on Article 49(1)(b) of the GDPR for this transfer, as it is essential for the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at your request.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract). By submitting a quote request, you are entering into a pre-contractual arrangement where we act as a bridge to pension brokers.
